What Am I Doing Now? - Helpx and WWOOFing

To make sure we're all on the same page as I share my experiences on this blog:

I am currently living with a family that runs a hobby farm. I work 20 hours a week on their farm or in their house in exchange for a room and food. I can stay as long or as little as both I and the host remain interested in my help. I will decide where I head next once I am ready to move on (as little as a few days or as much as months from now). I can choose from hosts all over the world.

This experience is part of a network of farms/hostels/large homes that need the help and can provide space and food for helpers. There are many websites to connect with these hosts, but the main and safest ones are www.helpx.net and www.wwoof.org. Helpers write reviews of the hosts and the hosts do the same for the helpers in addition to checking references. This means that most people have very good experiences at the places they stay if they are open to the type of experiences that come with this lifestyle.

As my blog continues, feel free to ask me any questions you have. I am happy to answer them!
