Adventures, Part 3

In late October, I discovered that winter on a sailboat in the Northwest is no picnic, and since this travel-lifestyle thing I'm doing is all about picnics (LOL), I decided to move on to the next stage: warm houses, dry clothes, and consistent showers.

I already published some photos in a post many months ago about the hobby farm I helped/stayed at in October. Here are a few more details that give away the location of the farm:

The farm was near the city of Olympia, WA, which was a somewhat artsy little city. It's right on the edge of the Puget Sound (hence this harbor), and it happens to be the capitol of WA (hence that domed capital building on the hill). Aaaannnddd, since it's the Northwest, it was a stormy day (surprise, surprise).

More evidence of being in the Northwest: big, colorful mushrooms!

Just to give you a sense of who participates in the whole HelpX thing: On the right is Leann, my host for a few weeks. On the left is Claire, a fellow helper who was there during my stay.

Next time: a peek at the city I was in from October through March (except for a Holiday trip home).
